My husband's father was raised Jewish and so the beauty of the Jewish holidays and feasts was a special part of his childhood. As we started our family, we decided to incorporate some of that heritage into our own home and traditions. Hanukkah is one of our favorites, we love celebrating the miracle of the lights. Festival of Stars is a quilt I designed to honor that heritage and the holy days that remind us that miracles still happen, and light can be found even in the darkest parts of the year.
Of course, if you don't celebrate Hanukkah, this quilt could be made in any color palette for a stunning 6-pointed star quilt that is at once both modern and traditional.
